Meet OUR 2021 JUDGES

YUAN YUAN TAN
WESHINE CHIEF JUDGE

Liu Yan
WESHINE JUDGE
Liu Yan trained at the Beijing Dance Academy in Classical Chinese Dance and has received recognition and awards in dance competitions around China and  for her participation in major performances, including a performance with Yuan Yuan Tan and Yang Liping on the televised broadcast of the 2006 Spring Festival Gala Evening.  In 2016, she published her book "Dance with Hands: Research of the Hand Dance in Chinese Classical Dances," a research novel on the hand gestures of classical Chinese dance. She is currently a professor at the Beijing Dance Academy.
Pascal Molat
WESHINE JUDGE
Born in Paris, Pascal Molat trained at Paris Opera Ballet School. During his 23 years career he has been Soloist with Ballet Royal Wallonie, 1st Soloist with Royal Ballet of Flanders and Principal Dancer for Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo and the San Francisco Ballet for 14 years. In 2017 Molat was awarded an Isadora Duncan “Sustained Achievement Honoree.” Molat received the honour of becoming “Chevalierde l’ Ordre des Arts et des Lettres”by the French Minister of Culture in 2017.
Xie Luxi
WESHINE JUDGE
 Xie Luxi trained at the Beijing Dance Academy in Chinese Ethnic Dance and later received her Masters in Choreography and Directing at BDA. During her career with the Beijing Dance Drama and Opera, she has travelled internationally and performed as a soloist and leading dancer in many countries including the UK, USA, South Korea, Finland, Sweden, and Jordan. In 2016, she founded the Tang Arts and Performance Studio in Southern California.
