JOway Christensen
WESHINE JUDGE
Joway Christensen, solo dancer, graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy with honors, and was later selected to join the Academy's Chinese Young Artists Delegation to tour the United States and Asia. Joway specializes in Classical and ethnic minority dances of China. She was the principal dancer at CPAA (Chinese Performing Artists of America) for 10 years. Some of her most memorable roles include the female general in "War Drums at the Gold Mountain," Zhu Yingtai, in the tragic "The Butterfly Lovers," and the young wife, Meng Jiang Nu, in the dance drama, "Sorrow of the Great Wall."

Fengjie Liu
WESHINE JUDGE
Fengjie Liu is a member of the Beijing Chinese Dancers Association, a National First-Class Artist of China, and was formerly a dancer and choreographer for the Shenyang Song and Dance Ensemble. She has over 40 years’ experience in the performing arts and has won many national and provincial awards. She was the director of award-winning dance dramas Tian Ji (National Top Ten Fine Arts Project and 7th China Art Festival Gold Medal Award) and Five Watches of the Crescent Moon (Chinese Ministry of Culture’s Wenhua Award, Five-One Project’s New Play Award) and has published several books

Anni Liang
WESHINE JUDGE
Anni Liang graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy and was a dancer at the Central Dance Group in China. She has performed in and taught numerous famous dance programs throughout the country and represented China on tours in Europe and Japan. Liang established her own dancing school at San Francisco and is involved with many social programs, most notably as a concert Director for the USA-China Town Beauty Contest Concerts. She is currently the Artistic Director at the BPC Art Studio in Palo Alto.

Yaqi Wu
WESHINE JUDGE
Yaqi Wu received a BFA in Dance Education and an MFA in Choreography from the Minzu University of China, and is a certified Judge by the Chinese Ethnic Folk Dance Grade Test Center of Beijing Chinese Ethnic Folk Dance Association. She has traveled and performed with award-winning Boston modern dance theaters ANIKAYA Dance Theater and Kairos Dance Theater. Currently focusing on promoting Chinese Folk and Classical Dance beyond China's borders for the past 5 years, she has directed ArtEast Dance Studio and has engaged with several other studios, serving thousands of students worldwide. Through her reaching and mentorship, numerous students have gone on to become award-winning Chinese dance artists.

Haorou Shi
WESHINE JUDGE
Haorou Shi graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy, majoring in Chinese folk dance and performance and later went on to receive her masters in Dance and Choreography at Mills College. Haorou Shi is known for integrating main elements of modern dance into Chinese folk dance, contributing to the modern development and innovation of Chinese dance in the US. She has received Platinum Awards, Outstanding Choreography Nominations and Awards, and Overall Top Awards at the Professional Level at the WeShine World Dance Competition, Taoli World Dance Competition, Rainbow National Dance Competition.
